Join Tipalti as we revolutionize the global finance automation sector! We are on the lookout for an innovative Director of KYC and Compliance Onboarding. This critical leadership role is aimed at redefining our compliance operations, transforming them from a reactive necessity to a strategic driver of global expansion.

In this role, you will report to the VP of Customer Onboarding and spearhead the development of our onboarding framework to facilitate our next stage of rapid growth. As a customer-oriented leader, you understand that stringent compliance and an effortless user experience can coexist. Your goal is to establish a premier KYC process that our customers and partners recognize as the most streamlined in the fintech landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Define and lead the vision for Tipalti’s KYC/KYB future, crafting a smooth onboarding experience that removes conventional compliance hurdles while ensuring robust regulatory adherence.
  • Operational Standardization: Ensure absolute consistency across our global team of KYC analysts. You will develop and implement a Global Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to guarantee uniform decision-making, quality, and efficiency, irrespective of the analyst’s location.
  • Customer-Centric Compliance: Advocate for the customer at every phase of the compliance lifecycle. Continuously enhance the Customer Journey to minimize friction, streamline documentation requests, and boost transparency.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a vital partner to Sales, Onboarding Management, Product, and Legal. Align all teams on a cohesive “Go-Live” strategy that balances commercial urgency with regulatory demands.
  • Tech Strategy & Execution: Lead the assessment, selection, and swift implementation of cutting-edge RegTech tools (ID verification, registries, data sources, risk-scoring engines, etc.). Transition from viewing tools as mere services to seeing them as full-fledged solutions that integrate deeply into our existing systems.
  • AI & Automation Leadership: Champion the shift to an “Always-On” monitoring environment. Leverage AI to automate identity verification and business entity checks, significantly shortening the “Time-to-Green” for our clients.
  • Quality Assurance Framework: Establish a comprehensive QA and feedback loop to maintain high standards across all compliance processes.
