GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Market Access Operations plays a crucial role in achieving our corporate objectives related to financial performance and contractual partnerships with various payers, including insurers, managed care organizations, and government entities. This strategic position requires a thorough analysis of current and potential payer relationships to support data-driven decision-making aimed at enhancing revenue growth and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing contract performance metrics to evaluate the profitability of Managed Care programs and collaborating with the Senior Director of Market Access to devise strategies for underperforming contracts.
- Collaborating with contracted insurers, sales teams, and marketing departments to launch effective redirection initiatives and other synergistic programs.
- Assisting in basic departmental management tasks, such as maintaining state payer lists and conducting contract reviews.
- Contributing to the development of strategic priorities for managed care contracting alongside senior leadership.
- Facilitating the contract development process from proposal evaluation to final approval, including deal structuring and profitability analysis.
- Building strong partnerships with sales leadership to guide market access strategies and identify key opportunities for value creation.
- Evaluating contracted in-network reimbursement rates for Millennium Health and seeking opportunities to enhance rates that fall below market standards.
- Working closely with various internal teams, including finance, billing, analytics, legal, and key customers to ensure streamlined operations.
- Managing existing insurer contracts to guarantee compliance and performance expectations.
