Your Role

We are in search of a dynamic Director of Marketing who will spearhead and integrate the core marketing functions at Mapbox, overseeing corporate marketing and communications, demand generation, and product marketing. In this pivotal role, you will craft and implement our go-to-market strategy, develop scalable integrated programs, and deliver impactful product-led messaging that resonates with developers, decision-makers, and partners. You will set the vision and guide a high-performing team while actively driving campaigns, crafting compelling narratives, and establishing systems that convert. Most importantly, you will adopt a results-driven approach, ensuring our marketing investments yield a substantial return and propel business growth.

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns brand, demand generation, and product marketing with company objectives, establishing KPIs and growth models for product-led and enterprise success.

  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team across demand generation, product marketing, and corporate marketing, fostering a culture of experimentation that promotes rapid iteration and continuous improvement.

  • Demand Generation Initiatives: Lead integrated campaigns aimed at increasing developer adoption, facilitating self-serve sign-ups, and expanding the enterprise pipeline, while collaborating with Sales and RevOps on paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and lead nurturing.

  • Product Marketing Ownership: Develop clear positioning and messaging for the Mapbox portfolio targeting both technical and business audiences, oversee go-to-market launches, and leverage market research to refine segmentation strategies.
