About the job
Join Superpower as a visionary leader in performance creative, taking charge of our paid media strategy from concept to execution, encompassing messaging, visuals, formats, and the collaborative team that brings it all to life.
About the Role
Currently, we produce approximately 200 ads weekly, with a target of 10,000 ads annually within the next year. Our primary challenge lies not in staffing but in finding a creative leader who can scale our output while maintaining our high standards.
You will lead a dedicated team of a creative strategist, designer, in-house videographer, producer, and media buyer, transforming our operation from effective to industry-leading.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. At Superpower, leadership is about execution, setting creative direction, crafting briefs with your team, and reviewing every concept prior to launch.
Key Responsibilities
Messaging & Positioning: Lead the development of angles, hooks, and narrative arcs for all paid placements; create and manage a persona-based messaging bank; and approve all scripts and headlines before publication.
Visual System: Define Superpower's visual identity across platforms including Meta, Google, and YouTube; ensure visual consistency across 100+ concepts each month; and collaborate with the Brand Director on brand-performance alignment.
Team Leadership: Oversee creative, static, and video editing teams; collaborate with UGC and Influencer Directors; and establish a regular workflow (briefs on Monday, releases on Friday).
Channel Collaboration: Work closely with the media buyer to understand creative performance in the bidding environment; advocate for impactful creative strategies and eliminate underperforming assets.
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years in performance creative, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a DTC brand with a monthly spend exceeding $1M.
Proven track record of owning creative for a brand that scaled from $20M to over $100M in ARR, with references to validate this growth.
Experience hiring and developing creative strategists, designers, and editors who consistently exceed performance benchmarks.
Skills:
Ability to craft briefs, scripts, and headlines at a senior agency level, while being hands-on across all creative aspects you oversee.
Proficient in analyzing paid social data to determine which ads to scale, discontinue, or revise.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams.
