Location: This position is primarily based in Coventry, with regular visits to Harlow and Bury St Edmunds, along with external representation as needed.

CPC Foods is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to oversee our technical operations across the Protein Division, which comprises three manufacturing sites. Additionally, you will establish and provide leadership for our Central Technical Services team.
This pivotal leadership role is centered on defining standards, ensuring consistent operational delivery, and enhancing technical capabilities across our sites. Collaborating with the Heads of Technical at each site, you will be responsible for the divisional technical strategy and governance framework, ensuring that all materials and finished products are safe, compliant, and meet customer specifications. You will also play a key role in fostering a strong food safety culture and driving continuous improvements.
In this position, you will offer guidance, coaching, and assurance across the division, ensuring uniformity in operational excellence and consistent risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Functional Leadership
Develop and execute the divisional technical strategy and governance framework in alignment with overall business goals.
Lead and cultivate a high-performance technical community across three sites, emphasizing standards, coaching, succession planning, and capability enhancement.
Provide effective leadership and direction to foster team engagement, focus, development, and performance.
Encourage an innovative environment that promotes colleague involvement in enhancing quality, teamwork, and communication.
Drive the divisional Food Safety Culture with strong technical leadership.
Manage divisional technical performance metrics: define KPIs, lead performance reviews, address performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
Exhibit strong commercial acumen by identifying cost-reduction and value-creation opportunities.
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
Ensure HACCP governance across all sites, approving divisional HACCP standards, and verifying their effectiveness through risk-based reviews.
Oversee specification governance and master data integrity, ensuring compliance with raw material, packaging, and finished product specifications.
