Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, coupled with 12+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. Preferred Qualifications:Registered Civil Engineer in Washington State. Proven experience in leading and managing large teams, with a focus on P&L responsibility. Expertise in scoping and estimating complex projects. Experience in tracking and managing budgets and schedules. Strong networking abilities and exceptional communication skills to inspire and lead. Proven capacity to mentor technical staff with relevant technical skills and tools. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently. Clear and effective communication skills across all levels of the organization. Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

The Director of Transit/Rail and Client Account Management for the Pacific Northwest is a visionary leader focused on growth and collaboration. This role involves working closely with the Division Manager and other senior leaders to mentor staff in a fast-paced environment, driving business development, project management, and technical excellence while ensuring profitability. The ideal candidate is a civil engineer with substantial delivery experience and a strong understanding of growth and profit and loss management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a prominent representative for AECOM in the region, enhancing visibility and engagement.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team within a dynamic growth environment.
  • Support the strategic growth and sales initiatives of AECOM’s Transit-Rail Services.
  • Consistently embody AECOM’s commitment to safety and promote a culture that prioritizes safety.
  • Build strong client relationships, focusing on delivering value and fostering a client-centric culture.
  • Collaborate with operations and senior leadership on staffing, recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Enhance project performance while ensuring quality, safety, and operational profitability.
  • Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and innovative culture in the West Coast region.
  • Lead negotiations for contractual and financial agreements with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Strategically manage the financial execution of the division’s profit and loss.
