We are seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to oversee our workover projects in Baghdad. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the effective execution of the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs at the rig site while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
As a Drilling Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing approved completion or workover programs at the rig site.
- Supervising personnel involved in the company's completion or workover operations, including service companies.
- Providing written work instructions to key contractors and preparing daily operation and cost reports for all operations to share with the office and partners.
- Managing the timely transportation of company equipment, overseeing stock, and requesting necessary supplies and services.
- Conducting pre-job safety meetings and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) with contractor/service company personnel to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the rig in collaboration with the rig contractor’s representative and assisting with safety training.
- Following company procedures in case of kick situations, including calculating the required kill mud weight.
- Reporting accidents, incidents, and environmental issues per company procedures and maintaining records of local regulations related to operations, safety, and the environment.
- Liaising with the operations department and engineers to meet completion and testing requirements.
