The Business Development Representative plays a pivotal role in driving sales by generating orders, maintaining standards, and fostering growth within assigned channels and customers. This position is essential for enhancing sales volumes, cultivating brand loyalty, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceed sales quotas within designated territory while supporting strategic growth objectives and budgets.
- Develop actionable plans to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made in a defined region, and follow up on new leads and referrals generated from field activities.
- Identify and pursue sales prospects within assigned accounts.
- Develop new business opportunities and expand existing contracts.
- Encourage customers to stock our products effectively.
- Coordinate shipping timelines and product delivery.
- Ensure our products and brands are widely available in the assigned sales area.
- Create and manage the development and distribution of sales materials, promotional exhibits, and programs.
- Prepare for and participate in exhibitions and promotional events at regional and national levels.
- Stay updated on company and competitor products, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to determine optimal promotion strategies.
- Utilize market data and competitive insights to secure orders.
- Build and maintain relationships with contract clients and potential customers.
- Gather customer feedback on new products and relay insights to the Head of Department.
- Ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Discuss pricing, after-sales service, guarantees, and delivery schedules with customers.
- Position products effectively with customers, emphasizing benefits, confirming pricing, addressing objections, and closing orders.
- Compile various status reports, including activities, closures, follow-ups, and goal adherence, along with special developments or feedback from field activities.
- Maintain accurate sales records and activity updates for effective forecasting.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Identify personal training needs in collaboration with the Brewing Manager.
- Align territory plans with national strategies.
- Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to territories.
