About the Role:
We are in search of a skilled E-Commerce Specialist to develop and launch a Shopify store for one of our talented artists. The artist currently utilizes a third-party platform, and this role will spearhead the transition to a dedicated Shopify store, ensuring enhanced brand control, superior customer experience, and expanded growth opportunities.
If you have a proven track record of building Shopify storefronts from scratch and experience with third-party logistics providers like ShipBob, we would love to connect with you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and launch a fully functional Shopify store aligned with the artist’s brand and product offerings (merchandise, prints, etc.).
- Develop backend logistics and integrations, including payment gateways, shipping configurations, tax settings, and customer flows.
- Collaborate on visual and UX design, either by implementing directly or coordinating with a designer as necessary.
- Set up and test applications and automations (email marketing, reviews, upselling, etc.) to enhance the customer experience.
- Integrate with ShipBob (or assist in their onboarding) to optimize order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Facilitate a seamless transition for current customers and products from the existing platform to the new Shopify store.
- Provide documentation and basic training for the artist’s team on store management and usage.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in building Shopify stores from the ground up.
- Proficient in Shopify themes, applications, and customizations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers, particularly ShipBob (preferred).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including checkout optimization, product organization, and basic SEO principles.
- Able to manage projects independently with minimal oversight.
Preferred Skills: Basic graphic or web design abilities to enhance store visuals.
