Preferred QualificationsExperience:Prior experience as an educator working with students from demographics similar to those at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Education:Must possess a B. A/B. S degree from an accredited institution. Meet one of the following eligibility criteria:Valid teaching credential in Special Education, orEligibility for a Provisional Internship Permit, orEligibility for a Short Term Staff Permit. Skills and Knowledge:Alignment with KIPP's mission and vision. Commitment to being an anti-racist educator. Belief that all students can achieve at the highest academic levels. Strong subject matter expertise. Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and the community. Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues. Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Google Classroom, Hangouts, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.). Aptitude for learning and using instructional technology to facilitate in-class and distance learning, such as Zoom and Nearpod, especially in a pandemic environment.
