About the job
In your role as an Educational Specialist for school and kindergarten support, as outlined in §112; §113 SGB IX or §35a SGB VIII, you will closely collaborate with children and adolescents with special educational needs. Your primary responsibility is to assist them in navigating their learning environment, whether in the classroom or kindergarten, by providing active support in organizing materials and tasks, as well as managing daily school and kindergarten routines.
Moreover, a significant emphasis is placed on fostering social interactions; you will help develop and strengthen their social skills to encourage positive interactions with peers. Additionally, you will work in conjunction with teachers, educators, therapists, and the entire support system to ensure that the needs of the child or adolescent are adequately addressed.
As an Educational Specialist, your contribution is vital to ensuring that all children, especially those requiring additional assistance, receive optimal education and support, allowing them to reach their full potential in alignment with their needs and abilities.
The extent of support provided is tailored to the individual needs of children and adolescents within a class or group and is closely coordinated with parents and educators. By facilitating this support, participation in lessons is ensured.
Working hours align with school schedules and will be discussed individually.
