Essential Qualifications:Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Preferred: HNC/HND qualifications. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar electrical engineering role within the mechanical and electrical contracting sector. Data Centre experience is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

The role of Electrical Engineer involves collaborating with a skilled team of electrical subcontractors to assist with the design, development, and installation of extensive electrical systems in alignment with project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all work in compliance with the Winthrop Integrated Management System.
  • Manage, review, and coordinate project drawings as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontracted personnel throughout the project.
  • Delegate tasks effectively within the technical team.
  • Ensure subcontractor adherence to all site requirements, including health and safety regulations.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain document control to keep all logs current.
  • Develop handover and test packs for systems.

Ensure all compliance and governance matters are addressed, including:

  • Monitoring health & safety standards on-site and ensuring safe practices among subcontractors.
  • Evaluating work methods and implementing safety improvements where feasible.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards among all subcontractors.
  • Completing weekly ‘don’t walk by’ safety observations.
