About Lynk

Lynk builds satellite direct-to-device (D2D) technology that lets people send and receive text messages from space using ordinary mobile phones. As the only company with a commercial FCC license for D2D systems, Lynk partners with mobile network operators to extend connectivity worldwide. The service has been tested on every continent, holds regulatory approvals in over 30 countries, and is expanding through more than 40 commercial contracts across about 50 nations.

Lynk’s mission: keep all 8 billion people connected, wherever they are, using the phones they already own. The team’s work brings mobile broadband to billions, helps reduce poverty, and can save lives.

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineering Intern will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and test electronics and RF hardware for Lynk’s nanosatellite bus and communications payload. This hands-on role spans schematic design, board integration, lab testing, and support across multiple satellite subsystems. Interns gain exposure to real spacecraft hardware and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

What You Will Do

  • Help design and develop electronics for the spacecraft bus and payload, including schematic creation, component selection, and layout reviews.
  • Support assembly, initial bring-up, and testing of circuit boards, troubleshooting and debugging with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Participate in lab testing and validation using standard electrical and RF test equipment.
  • Assist with simulation, analysis, and documentation of circuit and subsystem performance.
  • Help develop firmware or test software for board validation and testing.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, test reports, and design records.
  • Join design reviews and integration efforts with electrical, RF, software, and mechanical engineering teams.

About Lynk
