Job Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, your role will be vital to the success of our projects. You will be tasked with accurately estimating costs, nurturing client relationships, and supporting various project management facets. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of estimates, reviewing construction documents, and identifying potential risks. You will also engage in pre-construction activities, value engineering processes, and business development initiatives. Your expertise and meticulous attention to detail will play a significant role in enhancing our company's growth and reputation within the construction industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and follow up as necessary
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost estimates
  • Coordinate the review of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
  • Assist in preparing construction schedules for estimating requests and discuss staffing needs
  • Contribute to the preparation of General Conditions estimates and reviews
  • Create preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction estimates
  • Engage in pre-construction design development to identify potential overruns and problem areas
  • Participate in the value engineering process
  • Support business development efforts
  • Maintain current estimating records, studies, and unit pricing
  • Assist Project Managers in evaluating and analyzing subcontractor proposals
  • Follow established guidelines and instructions
  • Stay updated on compliance regulations
  • Resolve project-related issues
  • Assess staff performance and provide feedback
  • Prepare subcontractor agreements
  • Assist Project Managers in project buyouts
  • Provide support to other estimators and project managers as needed
  • Assist with additional responsibilities including billings, expense reports, and office support tasks.
