Join Quantum Systems GmbH as an Electrical Integration Engineer specializing in UAV systems, where you will play a pivotal role in merging electrical design with mechanical integration and system architecture. Your expertise will guide the development and integration of wiring harnesses from initial schematic design through to 3D installation within advanced unmanned aerial vehicles. Collaborating closely with systems engineering, avionics, and mechanical design teams, you will guarantee that our electrical systems are not only robust and manufacturable but also seamlessly integrated with the overall vehicle architecture.
This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical schematics, harness design, and spatial integration in 3D environments, along with the capacity to interpret and contribute to system architecture diagrams. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our UAV platforms meet stringent performance, reliability, and certification criteria.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams utilizing EPLAN Electric P8.
Develop and route wiring harnesses in 3D with EPLAN Harness proD and CATIA.
Integrate electrical systems into UAV structures, optimizing routing, protection, and maintainability.
Collaborate with mechanical, avionics, and systems engineering teams to ensure alignment on interfaces and constraints.
Interpret and contribute to system architecture diagrams and electrical system layouts.
Define and manage electrical interfaces between subsystems (power, data, signal).
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, safety requirements, and best practices.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical integration issues.
Generate and maintain design documentation, including BOMs, harness drawings, and integration guidelines.
Promote continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and integration workflows.
