THE JOB
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be a crucial member of our team, working on the front lines of emergency veterinary care where every moment counts. You will engage with a diverse range of cases, from minor incidents to complex emergencies, collaborating closely with our veterinarians to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include triage, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while providing a steady and reassuring presence to pet owners during their most challenging moments. This position is ideal for someone eager to apply their training, expand their skill set, and support pets and their families in urgent situations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Treat every patient and client with the utmost respect and care, because they matter! You will be there for them throughout tests, treatments, and beyond.
- Provide timely nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical situations, from initial triage through to discharge.
- Administer medication and monitor patient progress, showcasing your expertise from IVs and CRIs to blood transfusions and more.
- Communicate effectively as a team player and think like a leader to help shape care plans and ensure seamless patient care.
- Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with ongoing training provided to enhance your skills.
