The Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician role is based in San Antonio, Texas. Technicians in this position work closely with veterinarians and other team members in a fast-moving emergency environment. Responsibilities span routine to complex cases, providing support for both patients and their families during critical times. This role calls for veterinary technicians who want to use their full range of skills and deepen their experience in emergency medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Show respect and prioritize the needs of every patient and their human companions during all procedures and treatments.
- Deliver nursing care, perform treatments, and offer emotional support from triage through discharge.
- Administer medications and monitor patients, including IV placement, continuous rate infusions (CRIs), and blood transfusions.
- Communicate clearly with the team, contribute to care plans, and help ensure information is shared effectively.
- Be ready to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with access to ongoing training and resources.
