RequirementsAssociate's degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a legal environment, particularly under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. General litigation experience, especially in federal court, is beneficial. Strong understanding of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, and court rules and procedures. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Paralegal to enhance our Employment Law department.

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring presence five days a week with no options for hybrid or remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Communicate with Administrative Agencies, including the EEOC.
  • Electronically file court documents in federal and state courts.
  • Prepare discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses.
  • Draft and serve summons.
  • Coordinate and manage depositions.
  • Create deposition and hearing binders along with related exhibits.
  • Prepare and file appellate documents with the court.
  • Maintain client communication, keeping them informed about case statuses and gathering necessary documents for discovery.
  • Collect relevant information from various sources.
  • Act as a liaison between attorneys and other parties, including co-counsel, defendant counsel, and the courts.
