Role Overview: Energetics Processing & Motor Final Assembly Technician
This technician supports the solid rocket motor division in McHenry, Mississippi. The work involves mixing and casting solid rocket propellants and assembling final motor components. Safety is a core part of the job, including careful handling of hazardous chemicals. Adaptability and attention to detail are important, as is the ability to provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on process improvements and work instruction updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Weigh, dose, and mix solid rocket fuel components with precision.
- Assemble nozzles and igniters for solid rocket motors.
- Install igniter and nozzle assemblies on different motor types.
- Collect and enter data related to production and assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness and reset various tooling as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
