Position Summary
We are on the lookout for an Engineering Manager specializing in Quality Assurance to spearhead and expand our Quality Engineering division. This pivotal role involves formulating strategy, executing plans, and ensuring organizational excellence across automation, testing frameworks, and product quality outcomes. As a leader, you will not only guide teams but also influence the trajectory of quality engineering throughout the company.
In this role, you will utilize a systems-level mindset, linking product architecture, engineering workflows, and customer experience to create a unified and scalable quality strategy. You will oversee multiple engineers and/or teams, establish standards, and guarantee that quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle rather than being an afterthought.
This position demands a blend of technical expertise, organizational leadership, and strategic impact, with a focus on cultivating high-performing teams and delivering robust, high-quality products across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing QA/Automation engineering organization.
- Define and implement a comprehensive quality engineering strategy in line with product and engineering objectives.
- Establish best practices for test automation, framework development, and validation at scale.
- Ensure quality is embedded throughout the entire SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
- Drive measurable enhancements in product quality, release confidence, and defect reduction.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, SRE, and Support teams to align on quality goals and priorities.
- Influence roadmap decisions by providing data-driven insights on risk, coverage, and quality gaps.
- Act as a thought leader in contemporary QA practices, tools, and methodologies.
