We are on a mission to create the "Shadow Grid," a robust, industry-wide trading platform designed to remain operational when primary systems fail. This isn’t merely a backup solution; it’s a fully functional trading hub that guarantees hospitals receive essential resources even in the face of system failures.
Your Role
We are in search of a seasoned technical leader who retains a passion for development. As the inaugural Engineering Manager for this groundbreaking project, your initial 90 days will involve:
- Building a High-Performance Team: Recruit top-notch full-stack engineers who are not just skilled but also comprehend the significance of our mission and can take ownership of their respective areas.
- Architecting Resilience: Spearhead the design of a system hosted on Azure, utilizing various data stores for optimal transactional speed and hybrid data management through event-driven architectures and service-oriented principles.
- Driving Agile Methodologies: Oversee the Agile/Scrum framework, ensuring the team remains agile and efficient while upholding stringent standards for code quality and reliable deployments.
- Engaging with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate their inquiries into actionable roadmaps, effectively communicating complex scaling considerations to product leaders while also engaging in technical discussions with frontend leads.
Technological Landscape
- Core Technologies: Our foundation is built upon . NET/C# and Azure, and you will guide its transformation into a resilient, globally distributed framework.
- Frontend Development: Manage a crucial, high-performance user interface developed in Angular, designed to function seamlessly even under high-stress situations.
- Data Management: Oversee a hybrid architecture encompassing Postgres for complex trading transactions and Snowflake/NoSQL for analytics and supply chain visibility.
- Data Transformation: Address the "language" challenges of healthcare supply chains by transforming and mapping intricate data formats such as XML, JSON, and various EDI versions.
- Cloud Technologies: While Azure serves as our primary platform, leverage modern cloud solutions including AWS Lambda and Step Functions for optimal orchestration.
