Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Drive New Business: Identify, target, and secure new enterprise logos across the AMER region, focusing on organizations with revenues exceeding $500 million. Lead the entire sales cycle from initial outreach and value proposition to negotiation and closing. Expand Strategic Accounts: Enhance revenue from existing enterprise customers by uncovering new use cases, upselling additional Aiven services, and increasing commitments beyond baseline usage. Formulate strategic account and demand plans to maximize value for both clients and Aiven. Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Forge trusted relationships at the C-suite and VP level, alongside leaders in development, DevOps, and product management. Challenge the status quo of customers’ current data infrastructure and inspire a vision for how Aiven’s platform can drive superior business outcomes. Solution Selling & Value Articulation: Become an authority on Aiven’s platform and the open-source technologies we offer (including Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Clickhouse, and more). Clearly communicate the business advantages of our multi-cloud data and AI platform in terms of agility, cost-effectiveness, and improved time-to-market. Maintain a strong Command of the Message when presenting Aiven’s value proposition and differentiation. Utilize MEDDPICC Sales Methodology: Implement MEDDPICC sales strategies to effectively navigate complex sales cycles.

As an Enterprise Account Executive for the AMER region, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth by acquiring new enterprise clients and nurturing relationships within our existing large accounts (those generating over $500 million in revenue). This high-impact role focuses on securing new logos, enhancing baseline usage, and increasing customer commitments in one of Aiven’s key markets.
In this position, you will engage C-level executives and senior stakeholders across both technical and business domains (e.g., CTO, CIO, VP Engineering, Head of Product). Utilizing Aiven’s established sales methodologies, MEDDPICC qualification, the Challenger Sales approach, and Command of the Message, you will manage intricate sales cycles from prospecting to closure.
