Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline. 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, particularly within the cloud native, cybersecurity, or DevOps sectors. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport and relationships with prospects and clients. Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, along with other sales enablement tools. Outstanding research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Familiarity with cybersecurity trends and technologies is a plus.

About the Role:

Chainguard is on the lookout for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to strengthen our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for cybersecurity and possess a proven sales or lead generation background. As a BDR at Chainguard, your primary responsibilities will include prospecting for potential clients, qualifying leads, and coordinating appointments for our sales team to foster revenue expansion.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the security sales sector using diverse lead generation methods such as cold calling, emailing, leveraging social media, and attending industry events.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on prospects to ascertain their unique security requirements, challenges, and decision-makers.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality leads by consistently hitting or surpassing weekly and monthly performance targets.
  • Qualify leads by assessing their business needs and aligning them with our cybersecurity solutions and offerings.
  • Arrange meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to devise and execute targeted sales strategies for specific sectors, regions, or clients.
  • Keep precise and up-to-date records of prospects, leads, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging security technologies to effectively position our solutions to potential clients.
  • Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings to enhance sales skills and product knowledge continuously.
  • Provide insights to marketing and product teams based on interactions with prospects and customers to refine messaging and improve product offerings.
