Qualifications

Genuine passion for helping children with autism. Patience, compassion, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and pass a Tuberculosis test (if not done in the last year). Must pass a pre-employment background check. Physical capability to perform various positions such as sitting, squatting, bending, etc. Able to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with children, implementing customized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Utilizing evidence-based techniques, you will help teach essential skills in communication, social interactions, and daily living while minimizing challenging behaviors.

You should be patient, empathetic, and thrive in a collaborative team setting. Comprehensive training will be provided, ensuring you are well-equipped to make a difference, even without prior experience. Please note that working with children can be unpredictable and may involve physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
