Qualifications

Qualifications:No prior experience is necessary; however, experience in mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste fields is preferred. Willingness to complete a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course and OSHA training (if not current). Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and Microsoft Office programs. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to meet physical demands and successfully pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). Physical tasks may include driving, walking inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs, hand excavation, climbing ladders, operating manlifts, and using power and hand tools. Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.

Role Overview:

As an Entry-Level Field Technician, you will acquire essential knowledge about the terminology, processes, and equipment involved in the operation and maintenance of environmental control systems. You will also receive training on health and safety protocols, laying a strong foundation for your future career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior staff in planning and executing daily operational tasks, including Crew Activity Plans (CAP).
  • Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Understand the fundamentals of operating and maintaining environmental systems.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on control system components under supervision.
  • Document field observations accurately through notes and daily logs.
  • Utilize field instruments for data measurement and ensure proper handling.
  • Participate in data review sessions with supervisors to enhance understanding of data interpretation.
  • Support operational adjustments to environmental systems based on analytical reviews.
  • Receive training on tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the removal of landfill liquid pumps as needed.
