The Field Technician I position is an excellent entry point for those looking to build a career in environmental services. In this role, you will gain essential knowledge of health and safety regulations, terminology, procedures, and equipment used in the management and maintenance of various environmental control systems. The tasks assigned in this role are designed to provide foundational experience, setting you up for future advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop proficiency in understanding and applying company policies and procedures, particularly regarding:
    • The Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) as part of our Health & Safety program.
    • The Quality Management System aimed at maintaining high work quality.
    • Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics that guide employee behavior.
  • Learn the basics of operating, monitoring, and maintaining a variety of environmental systems.
  • Collaborate with experienced staff to plan and implement assigned tasks, including daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP) and adjustments to environmental control system components.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs of environmental control systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Become skilled in documenting field observations and actions through notes and logs for client communication.
  • Receive training in utilizing field instruments for measuring environmental control system data, ensuring proper care and handling.
  • Participate in preliminary data reviews with supervisors to understand the fundamentals of field data interpretation.
  • Assist in operational adjustments to environmental control system components based on data analysis.
  • Engage in training programs to enhance your technical skill set and stay informed on industry best practices.
  • Complete mandatory Health & Safety training to ensure a safe working environment.
