About the job
Ignite Your Passion for Education!
Are you prepared to embark on a transformative journey in education? At Zeta, we are committed to merging high academic excellence with social-emotional growth for our students. We believe that every child deserves a world-class education, one that nurtures a lifelong love for learning. Our mission is to revolutionize public education in New York City and beyond.
Operating multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, we are excited to expand further by launching 1-2 new schools annually. This growth reflects our belief that every community deserves equitable access to quality education. As we prepare to welcome our inaugural Zeta High School class of 9th graders in the 2026-2027 school year, we invite you to join our dynamic team and become a catalyst for change.
Achieve Exceptional Results!
To realize our vision, we seek both Middle School STEM and Humanities Entry Level “Resident” Teachers who hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM for STEM positions and Humanities or related fields for Humanities positions, with a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0. We value candidates eager for rapid growth in a supportive, feedback-driven environment.
The Zeta Teacher Residency Program spans three years for new educators. As a Resident Teacher, you will play a crucial role in cultivating a classroom atmosphere that inspires a genuine passion for learning and fosters community among families. If you are not currently pursuing New York State Teacher Certification, Zeta will facilitate your enrollment in a 2-year, fully subsidized Master’s degree program through Touro University, equipping you with the necessary skills to enhance your teaching practice and achieve New York State professional certification in both general and special education.
This position entails a three-year commitment: two years as a teacher and graduate student, followed by a third year as a fully certified educator with Zeta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design inquiry-driven, academically rigorous lessons that spark curiosity, accelerate learning, and empower each student to think critically and creatively.
