We are currently seeking a motivated entry-level Staff Accountant who has recently graduated or is about to graduate with a degree in Accounting or a related field. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to kickstart their career in a dynamic, hands-on office setting.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a learning environment. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from seasoned accounting professionals while gaining practical experience in essential accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, commissions, and month-end reporting.
If you are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable with using multiple systems (including Xero and Monday), this position offers a fantastic opportunity to establish a robust foundation in accounting.
Your Responsibilities
Core Accounting Operations
- Assist in setting up and processing accounts payable, including entering invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and managing weekly payments.
- Learn to perform bank and credit card reconciliations using Xero.
- Support accounts receivable processes such as setup, monthly invoicing, client communication, account updates, credits, and payment troubleshooting.
- Contribute to monthly commission calculations and partner support.
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Support the month-end close process and assist in the preparation of financial statements for at least three entities.
- Help with consolidated reporting and prepare documentation required for audits, reviews, and annual tax returns.
