Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Substation Electrical Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Civil Engineering (ICE) Team in Taylor, MI. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and have 0 to 3 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical installations and protective relaying and control (PR&C) components for various electrical substation projects. Your tasks will include substation equipment layout, detailed electrical installation design, and PR&C design in accordance with relevant industry codes and standards.

This position demands periods of intense focus and is offered in a hybrid format, allowing you to work in a traditional office environment, remotely, or a combination of both. Occasional travel may be required.

You will gain frequent exposure to electrical design standards and codes, including IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and NESC.
