Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a proactive, innovative, and seasoned Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to bolster our rapidly expanding operations. This pivotal role involves delivering technical expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), devising safety solutions to ensure compliance and seamless integration from design to construction, commissioning, manufacturing, final product, and testing and validation. The EHS Engineer will work closely with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, and technology partners to cultivate safer work environments, enhance efficiency, and guarantee regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of learning and operational excellence. Additionally, this role will contribute to global EHS initiatives, including the development and implementation of crucial EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Facilitate organizational transparency through regular cross-departmental collaboration, progress updates, status reports, event bulletins, and briefings, sharing milestones, achievements, and challenges with relevant stakeholders across the organization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Propel continuous improvement initiatives (plan, do, check, act) to refine program management processes, methodologies, and tools, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization.

  • Design: Spearhead technical analyses on designs for manufacturing equipment and Saronic platforms to assess compliance with internal and international standards, providing design recommendations that enhance safety and innovation.

  • Innovate: Formulate and enforce safety standards for operations involving autonomous surface vessels.

  • Integrate: Develop, lead, and/or conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and equipment/area safety approvals to ensure equipment safety adheres to applicable standards (ANSI, ISO, NFPA, IBC, OSHA, ASME, etc.) throughout all equipment life stages.

  • Management of Change: Execute reviews and provide recommendations concerning platform design, equipment safety, and engineering or facility design alterations to effectively drive Management of Change (MOC).
