Position Overview
As an Escrow Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the closing process of real estate transactions. You will facilitate meetings with buyers and sellers, ensuring that all necessary loan documents are signed and processed accurately. Your responsibilities will include issuing checks and delivering signed and notarized loan packages to lenders.
Proficiency in Spanish is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine sales contracts and initiate title files using SoftPro Complete Closing software, while requesting title examinations.
- Review title insurance commitments and surveys.
- Prepare the deed and seller's affidavit.
- Generate the HUD-1 Settlement Statement based on the sales contract and lender instructions; manage closing funds and prepare checks.
- Receive and prepare lender loan documents for closing, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate; facilitate signing and notarization of loan documents, the deed, and seller's affidavit with the buyer and seller.
- Dispatch signed and notarized loan packages to lenders.
- Support special projects and undertake additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
High School diploma required; some college education preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Exceptional customer service abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Capable of gathering, analyzing, and evaluating pertinent information from buyers, sellers, and lenders.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, superior organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in general administrative tasks, including typing, filing, and using computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
- Familiarity with SoftPro Complete Closing Software is advantageous.
Work Environment:
Availability for some weekend and evening work may be necessary.
