Qualifications· High School Diploma or GED is required.· A 2 or 4-year college degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.· A minimum of 1-year experience in the construction industry is preferred.· Highly organized with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.· Possess critical thinking abilities.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.· Capability to build, nurture, and manage customer relationships.· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with Salesforce software is a plus.· Familiarity with CDOT M&S Standards and MUTCD is advantageous.

Position Summary
The Estimator plays a critical role in fulfilling our commitment to safeguarding our clients’ personnel, operations, and time by providing exceptional service and precise information. This role requires collaboration across all levels of the organization to fully understand project specifications and requirements necessary to meet deadlines. The Estimator will team up with colleagues to deliver accurate and detailed bids for assigned projects.

Responsibilities
· Grasp all project requirements and nuances.
· Analyze all available data to compile comprehensive proposal estimates.
· Attend external pre-bid meetings to assess the scope of work.
· Identify key variables influencing costs and estimates.
· Prepare detailed proposals, including bid documents, defining project scope, and evaluating unique conditions that could affect the proposal, such as site specifics, access, personnel, and equipment needs.
· Review and clarify proposals and engage in project negotiations.
· Generate estimates based on time, labor, equipment costs, and specifications.
· Create and submit estimate reports or bids to relevant stakeholders (project managers, clients, bidding competitions, etc.).
· Gather and monitor offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
· Develop preliminary schedules for successfully awarded projects.
· Manage estimates for multiple projects concurrently.
· Engage with current and prospective customers in a sales capacity.
· Participate in peer mentoring and on-the-job training.
· Undertake additional duties and/or special projects as assigned.
