Position Overview:
Join our team as an Estimator, where you will prepare detailed contract proposal estimates across various disciplines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze proposal specifications and drawings to define the scope of work and necessary estimate components.
- Generate precise discipline estimates through comprehensive takeoff calculations.
- Maintain organized files of working documents to support estimate figures, ensuring current supplier pricing through direct communication and up-to-date resources.
- Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on cost, quality, and material availability.
- Incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis into unit cost and labor hour estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and engage with project stakeholders to clarify the scope of work.
- Lead and coordinate the estimating efforts for assigned bids/projects.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and VP to delegate responsibilities for each project.
- Oversee the estimating process across Indiana projects, upholding standardized procedures and methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Corporate office to prepare bid documents, request necessary bonds and insurance, and coordinate bid document delivery.
- Develop and maintain a project lead log for the Indiana Office.
