Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a highly qualified and seasoned Boat Captain to facilitate the deployment, testing, and operation of our innovative autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). This pivotal role is essential for merging conventional marine practices with next-generation autonomy. In your capacity as Boat Captain, you will operate manned support vessels while overseeing autonomous systems during field tests, directly contributing to the advancement and validation of groundbreaking maritime technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain company-owned support vessels during field trials and testing events.

  • Lead the safe deployment, recovery, and towing operations of ASVs across diverse marine environments.

  • Work closely with engineers, autonomy developers, and mission planners to implement test plans effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal maritime regulations, including USCG standards.

  • Engage in safety assessments and assist in operational planning and risk mitigation.

  • Aid in logistics, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vessels and onboard systems.

  • Act as the on-water safety lead during testing operations.

Qualifications:
