Qualifications

QualificationsAssociate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience (required). Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred). Experience in Probate, Real Estate, Trusts, or other Civil practice areas (preferred). Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficient in scheduling depositions and maintaining accurate calendars.

Summary

We are in search of a skilled Civil Litigation Paralegal to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our proficient attorneys, providing essential support throughout all phases of litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
  • File court documents electronically in both state and federal jurisdictions.
  • Facilitate communications with clients, the court, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and factual investigations.
  • Prepare and manage discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses.
  • Draft and serve summonses.
  • Coordinate and summarize depositions.
  • Assemble trial binders and exhibits.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for court submission.
  • Handle administrative duties including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
  • Maintain indexes of pleadings and discovery materials.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
  • Gather pertinent information from diverse sources.
  • Act as a liaison between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
  • Prepare witnesses for trial.
  • Assist with case settlements.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by attorneys.
