Proven experience as a Project Manager in the gas sector, with a strong ability to organize and manage site work from delivery, HSQE, and commercial perspectives. Commercial awareness and programming experience, particularly with NEC forms of contract. Possession of a Site Management Safety Certificate (SMSTS / IOSH Managing Safely). Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery from inception to completion. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience working with National Grid, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, or Scotia Gas Networks is advantageous. Experience managing high-value projects or portfolios. Willingness to travel weekly, including overnight stays as necessary. Valid UK driving license. Ideally, experience in large mechanical fabrication and installations, including heavy civil works.

Join United Infrastructure as a Project Manager, where you will lead the successful execution of critical projects at our regional Gas Terminal. Your role will encompass supporting Pressure Reduction Stations and AGIs in the Norwich area, ensuring that all programme requirements align with our company and divisional objectives while meeting client and customer expectations. You will be responsible for managing projects to achieve key targets related to safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management from initiation to completion, attending pre-start meetings, developing a strategic programme of works, and continuously monitoring progress to meet safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Prepare and manage the overall Project Delivery Plan and associated detailed short-term programmes, making necessary adjustments alongside the Contracts Manager to maintain project timelines.
  • Take charge of project design, safety, quality management, resource planning, programme management, and commercial management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and rights.
  • Exemplify strong leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental standards by participating in Health and Safety Meetings and creating Health and Safety Plans.
  • Maintain accurate HSQ&E reporting and compliance with group policies, addressing concerns as they arise.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and effective management of project teams, fostering high morale and open communication.
  • Support the Contracts Manager in identifying and managing risks and opportunities that may affect business objectives.
  • Ensure proper induction processes are followed for all site employees.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to align operational and commercial matters effectively.
  • Notify and obtain approval from the Client for any work outside the contract scope, addressing the implications of such changes.
