Job Summary:Oversee and orchestrate operations within a warehouse to efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials for engineering and construction projects.Facilitate and accelerate the movement of work and materials across various departments.Roles & Responsibilities:Administer and oversee the management of material receipts, issues, and storage.Determine the appropriate actions for handling material overages, shortages, or damages, including advising on applicable insurance claims.Supervise the forecasting of future material usage at job sites and manage construction allowances.Collaborate with the chief engineer to prepare requisitions for locally produced materials.Organize or verify the arrangements for the disposal of surplus materials.Ensure adherence to safety regulations by all team members, and confirm that construction equipment and tools are maintained in safe condition.Initiate reports for overages, shortages, damages, and rejections, and monitor changes in material reporting.Engage in material scheduling meetings and recommend adjustments to work schedules to align with critical material availability.Implement color coding for locally procured materials.Develop storage plans for materials.Conduct inventory checks.Coordinate with departments such as procurement, field control, and engineering to address material-related issues.Verify material deliveries at the site.Manage costs through optimizing personnel productivity, efficient storage space utilization, and proper material protection.Maintain detailed records of material receipt and issuance, reviewing reports for completeness and accuracy.Oversee and monitor subcontractor activities.Investigate the causes of material losses and implement corrective measures.Operate and utilize the FMC system effectively.
