Position Description:The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician will play a vital role in providing operational support, troubleshooting, and process optimization for natural gas and NGL pipelines, along with associated compressor stations. This position is essential in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our energy operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instrumentation and electrical equipment, including VFDs, switchgear, transformers, power supply battery backup systems, pumps, motors, and various instrumentation.Specify and procure equipment according to application requirements concerning power supply, flow, temperature, pressure, area classification, etc.Conduct loop checks and calibration of field instrumentation.Maintain and troubleshoot circuits and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC.Execute preventative maintenance checks on equipment, including pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.Prepare equipment for maintenance by electrically clearing motors and switchgear, adhering to LOTO procedures per company policies.Interpret P&ID drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical schematics, and technical operational manuals.Act as the I&E Lead on small capital projects, overseeing work performed by third-party contractors.Collaborate effectively with Turbine Technicians, Automation Control Specialists, Operations, Engineers, and others to conduct maintenance and repair activities, as well as installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities.Assist in training related to instrumentation and electrical equipment.Comply with safety and environmental practices in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.Participate in safety trainings, maintain required certifications, exemplify high safety standards, and assist in regulatory inspections.Contribute to the development of O&M Procedures, Site-Specific Procedures, project scopes, and work plans.Occasional travel, including overnight visits, to other compressor locations may be required.

Your responsibilities will encompass the oversight of gas transmission pipelines, receipt and delivery meter stations, reciprocating compressor units, ultrasonic gas meters, gas chromatographs, H2S analyzers, and O2 analyzers, along with SCADA communications and related equipment.Key Responsibilities:Efficiently start, stop, and operate engines to uphold designated performance parameters.Perform pipeline locator duties to ensure operational integrity.Ensure cost-effective and efficient performance of all engines and related equipment.Conduct pipeline pigging and oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of valves, pipes, and appurtenances.Coordinate and manage maintenance activities for all facilities and equipment, including pipeline right-of-way management.Operate and maintain various equipment such as wheeled tractors, pick-up trucks, water pumps, air compressors, and coolers.Supervise construction and maintenance efforts by third parties, including inspection of one-call tickets.Conduct compliance activities such as line patrols and inspections of road and railroad crossings.Assist in cash flow management, cost monitoring, and support planning for capital and O&M budgets.Contribute to the development of O&M Procedures and project scopes.Ensure all work complies with company standards, regulatory requirements, and complete necessary documentation.Perform calibrations and maintenance for gas measurement equipment including ultrasonic meters, EFM gas chromatographs, H2S analyzers, and PLCs.Communicate updates, issues, and maintenance activities effectively to relevant personnel and represent the company in interactions with landowners and public officials.Willingness to travel occasionally, including nights and weekends.Step in as a relief pipeline controller when necessary.Other duties as assigned.
