Role Overview
We are in search of a meticulous Medical Biller & Coder specializing in dermatology to oversee the complete billing cycle for our dermatology clientele. You will manage claims from inception to completion, including coding, submission, follow-up, and collections, ensuring every detail is addressed with utmost accuracy to facilitate smooth revenue flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze patient records and accurately code dermatology procedures (ICD-10, CPT, modifiers).
- Submit accurate claims to reduce rejection and denial rates.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to submission.
- Address claim denials by identifying underlying issues, appealing when necessary, and preventing recurrence.
- Manage accounts receivable, diligently following up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
- Professionally respond to patient billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance documentation accuracy.
- Maintain organized and confidential billing records.
- Stay informed about payer modifications and coding updates.
Qualifications
