Position Overview
We are seeking our inaugural Accounting Manager to lay the groundwork for the accounting function at Twenty. This high-responsibility role within our Finance and Operations team will involve managing essential accounting workflows, establishing scalable systems and controls, and preparing the organization for upcoming audit requirements. Ideal candidates will thrive in uncertainty, be eager to build from the ground up, and leverage AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Develop scalable, precise, and audit-compliant accounting workflows from the outset.
- Identify automation and process optimization opportunities as transaction volumes increase.
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare the organization for future audits by implementing appropriate controls and creating a process roadmap.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including tax firms, bookkeeping services, auditors, vendors, and government representatives.
- Assess and implement modern financial systems and workflows, incorporating AI-enabled tools and system integrations.
- Formulate internal policies and operational processes encompassing expense management, procurement, and cash controls.
- Support high-priority cross-functional projects, which may include compensation analysis, contracting assistance, real estate planning, and operational process design.
- Assist with adjacent workflows in Legal, HR, and office operations to ensure effective scaling of a small team.
