This position works alongside a Certified Plumbing Designer or licensed Engineer on a range of projects, including new construction and renovations across education, healthcare, commercial, and science & technology sectors. May assist with HVAC design as needed. Support Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection construction documents from schematic design through construction administration. May also assist with HVAC system modeling. Collaborate with the design team to help prepare or coordinate specifications. Draft reports for review by a senior engineer. Review submittals and shop drawings for contract compliance. Occasionally visit project sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress, which can include physical walkthroughs. Take on additional tasks as assigned. What You Will Need Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering required by the hire date. Degrees from ABET-accredited programs are preferred. Knowledge of advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics as they apply to plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC system design. Relevant internship experience preferred. EIT and LEED accreditation are a plus. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
