This position offers hands-on experience in classical naval architecture and pioneering autonomous technologies, making a significant impact on maritime innovation.ResponsibilitiesExecute tasks with a high degree of expertise, including but not limited to:Hull form development and optimization.Resistance, power, and speed predictions.Functional design and overall arrangement development.Stability analysis and preparation of loading manuals in accordance with IMO and USCG standards.Conduct hydrodynamic analysis, assessing seakeeping, motions, and accelerations.Design propulsion and powerplant systems, both conventional and non-conventional.Develop ship systems designs, including specifications and P&ID’s.Perform global and local structural design assessments, including fatigue and service life evaluations.Prepare regulatory documentation in line with USA-flag and international maritime regulations, including submissions to USCG, ABS, LR, DNV, etc.Collaborate with fellow engineers on CAD modeling, weight management, and the integration of autonomous navigation and control systems.Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for vessel concepts.Contribute to documentation preparation, technical writing, and report generation for internal and client use.Stay informed on advancements in naval architecture, autonomous technology, and trends in commercial shipping.QualificationsCandidates must be classified as a U.S. Person.
