Job Summary
We are in search of a talented R&D Test Engineer to become an integral part of our team. This role involves improving multi-disciplinary systems and contributing to the development of new autonomous vehicle concepts and prototypes. The engineer will engage in a variety of technical activities including the engineering, design, and testing of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems as part of our autonomous vehicle initiatives. The ideal candidate will apply a diverse range of engineering principles while working under tight deadlines to create innovative and practical solutions to complex technical and logistical challenges.
Responsibilities
Analyze technical requirements, challenges, and client briefs to devise satisfactory solutions.
Participate in engineering, design, prototyping, and enhancement of electro-mechanical systems and software for autonomous vehicles and related subsystems.
Implement fundamental engineering principles and best practices across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software domains.
Conduct research, document findings, and present comprehensive reports.
Generate design documentation for components, subsystems, and fully integrated systems.
Select appropriate tools and materials for manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance processes.
Integrate electro-mechanical systems and software into cohesive systems.
Perform proof of concept, functionality, and reliability testing of components, subsystems, and integrated systems.
Lead and participate in testing activities both in laboratory settings and marine environments.
Identify trends in performance and failures of ASV components and subsystems through extensive data analysis.
Recognize weaknesses in systems and processes, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements.
Contribute to the development of ASV platforms and associated software interfaces.
