Role Overview
The Baltimore office seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the team. This position works closely with attorneys, providing key support throughout the trial process, from case preparation to post-trial activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and memoranda.
- File court documents electronically in state and federal courts.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
- Prepare discovery materials, including interrogatories and responses.
- Draft and serve summonses.
- Summarize and coordinate depositions.
- Compile trial binders and exhibits.
- Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for court filing.
- Track hearings and deadlines, organize case files, and manage logistics.
- Maintain indexes of pleadings and discovery materials.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Support attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Gather information from various sources as needed.
- Act as a liaison between trial teams and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare witnesses for trial.
- Assist with case settlements and other tasks as directed by attorneys.
