The Senior Solutions Engineer Role
As a Senior Solutions Engineer reporting to the Senior Manager of Solutions Engineers, you will serve as a strategic consultant with a strong affinity for technology. Your expertise will enable you to craft, position, and showcase product-specific solutions throughout sales cycles, while consistently meeting quarterly and annual sales objectives for your designated territory. A solid foundation in software development and familiarity with developer-centric identity platforms like Auth0 will significantly enhance your ability to convey the technical and strategic value of Okta's offerings.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Corporate/New Business sales team as the technical expert for customer-facing initiatives, helping clients appreciate the value of Okta’s solutions.
- Analyze customer challenges, particularly those encountered by development and product teams, and provide tailored product demonstrations that align with their needs.
- Respond to technical inquiries regarding product features from customers, partners, and Okta team members.
- Design and execute Proof of Concepts for clients with intricate use cases, coordinating with other Okta engineering teams as necessary. This will involve scripting and coding to effectively demonstrate Auth0’s capabilities.
- Provide insights to product management on enhancements that can better meet customer needs and deliver additional value.
- Exchange best practices and reusable resources with fellow Solutions Engineers to improve the team's overall effectiveness and efficiency.
- Remain informed about competitive analysis and market positioning.
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
- Occasionally take on the role of subject matter expert (SME) for various product solutions and competitive insights, leading your team in this capacity.
