Your Role As the Global Head of Payments, you will oversee the operational and partnership dimensions of payments, managing over €4B+ in GMV and 39 currencies. Your responsibilities will include leading a setup featuring multi-acquirer processing, an orchestration layer, and an external fraud tool. You will be instrumental in facilitating our expansion into LATAM and APAC while bolstering performance and resilience in our established European and North American markets. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Traveler Products. Based in Berlin, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Product, Engineering, Risk/Fraud, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure our payment systems are a high-performing global capability. Key Responsibilities: Develop a clear, company-wide payments operating model with defined ownership, robust governance, and efficient escalation processes. Leverage data to enhance success rates, authorization, reliability, and cost efficiency across various markets and payment methods. Manage key payment partnerships end-to-end, ensuring performance, accountability, and scalable commercial agreements. Position payments as a key enabler for launching into LATAM/APAC by ensuring readiness, local method coverage, and smooth implementation. Establish and enhance the payments function by building the team, tools, and practices that ensure payments are a sustainable capability.
