About the Role
As a Visual Merchandiser at H&M, you play a pivotal role in creating an inspiring and cohesive customer experience by upholding visual standards and commercial excellence. Your main responsibility will be to execute visual merchandising, commercial styling, and curation in alignment with H&M's brand guidelines. You will leverage your trend insights and competitor analyses to equip your team with vital information, coach them, and enhance their skills to foster an exceptional customer experience.
A Day in the Life
Your daily activities will vary, yet a typical day will include:
Customer Sales & Profit
- Enhancing the overall OMNI customer experience in your store through effective visual and commercial curation (Indirect).
- Positively representing yourself and the H&M brand in all customer interactions (Direct).
- Planning and organizing your workload according to store activation strategies, adapting to business needs in collaboration with Store Management and the Area Visual Manager.
- Launching and maintaining global campaigns and sales activities in a timely fashion, adhering to H&M Brand Standards.
- Ensuring optimal garment care, maintaining stock levels, and providing feedback on inventory allocation to Store Management and Area teams.
- Conducting follow-ups on sales reports (KPIs), identifying and prioritizing visual and commercial opportunities in partnership with the Store Management team.
- Implementing effective actions to boost customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets, store goals, and budgetary objectives in collaboration with the Store Management team.
- Adhering to all operational procedures, best practices for OMNI services, and legal requirements across all areas of the store with your team.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Staying informed about the fashion landscape, trends, styles, brands, competitors, and notable influencers.
- Allocating time for fashion and trend research to grasp trend theory and develop mood boards for styling techniques and product presentations, anticipating customer needs and enhancing their shopping experience.
Team & Development
- Inspiring, educating, and updating your store team on seasonal changes, fashion trends, and important visual and commercial information, including pricing perceptions.
- Coaching and developing the visual and commercial skills of the Store team to ensure high-quality product and commercial presentations in accordance with guidelines.
- Supporting and enhancing daily routines and best practices for your Store team to maintain consistent visual and commercial standards while ensuring customer service excellence.
