Role Overview Freenome is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to join the team in Brisbane, California. This on-site role supports research and development efforts focused on advancing cancer detection technology. Reporting to the Supervisor of R&D Labs, this position plays an essential part in maintaining laboratory operations and supporting scientific teams. What You Will Do Work closely with teams in Research, Development, Automation, Facilities, and Supply Chain to keep laboratory operations running smoothly. Assist Research Associates and Scientists with preparing and aliquoting reagents. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to maintain performance standards. Help troubleshoot R&D lab equipment issues, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Operate automated liquid handling systems for precise laboratory processes. Monitor temperatures in cold storage units and respond to any fluctuations as needed. Organize and maintain accurate records for R&D reagent and sample inventories. Uphold all safety protocols and serve as an example for others in the lab. Manage the accessioning and processing of patient samples. Assist with biosample management, including picking and pulling samples as required. Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Supervisor of R&D Labs and requires on-site attendance in Brisbane, California.
