Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys and provide detailed analysis based on findings.
- Perform quantity surveying for all mechanical equipment and materials related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Draft the scope of work for all mechanical disciplines, including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, encompassing labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
- Develop purchase requisitions for both tender and awarded projects, adhering to project design requirements and material take-offs.
- Prepare material submittals in accordance with project specifications, ensuring compliance and obtaining necessary consultant approvals.
- Create detailed shop drawings in collaboration with all relevant disciplines.
- Perform essential mechanical calculations for the mechanical systems.
- Stay updated on international standards and codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, NPC, and ASPE.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material delivery schedules align with project timelines.
- Provide technical support to the site team for any site-related challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully completing at least two projects of similar scope and complexity (international project experience is highly preferred).
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, firefighting mechanisms, and water & sewage networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient command of English (both spoken and written) is crucial.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
