*This position requires relocation after training* Position Overview: As a Senior Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple reconditioning lines at our Inspection & Reconditioning Center (IC). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that production metrics are consistently achieved, maintaining high standards for both quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management of multiple reconditioning lines, strategically planning production schedules for full shifts. Act as the point of contact in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring production, cost, and quality targets are met or exceeded. Identify and address bottlenecks impacting site throughput and efficiency through effective root cause analysis and action planning. Conduct weekly performance reviews with senior leadership, monitoring performance against targets and implementing countermeasures as needed. Facilitate daily site manager meetings to set priorities and establish the day's objectives. Support the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives, training teams on process changes and best practices. Mentor and develop Reconditioning Leads and Managers by supporting their Development Plans and providing regular, constructive feedback. Demonstrate Carvana's core values through exemplary leadership, teamwork, and communication. Adhere to Carvana's operational standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications: Must be open to relocation, ideally nationwide, but at minimum regionally (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West Coast). Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output. Extensive experience leading teams of over 50 associates with a strong focus on employee development. Demonstrated success in resolving urgent operational challenges through analytical problem-solving. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A minimum of 8 years in management roles within automotive or lean manufacturing sectors. Possession of a valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record over the last three years. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in frequent stretching and physical movement.
